Wow I did it!

I'm sorry it's been so long since I blogged, but I have good reason. Shannon Harris accepted me on to her team Team Bean at Silly Bean Scraps and I have been in a learning curve. I love being a CT, I just hope I won't let her and the team down with my slow start because everyone is just great. I have learned how to enable and customize my signature with blinkies. May seem simple to some of you, but it has definitely been a learning experience for me and I just love her awesome kits. The first kit I worked with was "PLUM MUDDLED", it truly is gorgeous and there is an add-on and an alpha. The kit is available at both GDS and GDWI. Here is the preview of the kit.

And here is the first LO I made with it. It is of my dd Brynn at one year old. Hard to believe she is now 16.

and my second LO with the kit, which was taken when I was one year old. I had a lot more hair.

I'll talk to you tomorrow (I do mean tomorrow). Have a great night.

Under the Weather

Well as you know I am a substitute teacher and you would think by now that I am immune to germs. But teaching the little one's especially Kindergarten through 2nd is a joy and yet it is a germaphobes nightmare. Anyway, I've been a bit under the weather, but have now rebounded. Although today, I was teaching 2nd graders this morning and seven of the kids were out sick, I guess that's better than yesterday when I am told nine of the students were out. And guess what, those that were in were sniffling and sneezing and coughing. Oh well, that's why they make hand sanitizer. I'm posting up Silly Beans Scraps blinkie, hoping that all will be approved for me to become a CT on their team.

More tomorrow, after I try and get some rest.

Final Post for Today-Wish me luck

Final post for today, I promise. I just wanted you to know how excited I am. I have asked Shannon Harris of Silly Beans Scraps to be on her official CT Team. I just love her stuff expecially the rich jewel tones. So wish me luck. You can find her designs at GoDigitalScrapbooking.com. In fact, yesterday she had a beautiful alpha as a freebie on the daily download.

Bye for today.

I need to be a better blogger

OK, seriously I really need to become a better blogger. I could say that I have been working alot of hours (which I have), or participating in the ADSR (which I am) but that would not be a good excuse for not blogging. It's kind of like Project 365, I started out with a lot of zeal but then I forget to take a photograph here or there, so if you are in the same boat don't feel bad. I'm trying to think up a template for those of us who don't have a whole week or a whole month of pictures. Anyway, no excuses for not blogging. My February resolution to get to my blog atleast twice a week. Right now we are on the last challenge for the ADSR and it has been a fun ride. It really takes you out of your comfort zone in digital scrapbooking. I'll post some of the LO's I have completed so far!

New LO ADSR Challenge #2

Well we just made the deadline on challenge #2 from Elemental Scraps. The fun thing about the race is that it forces you to scrap. Sometimes, I get so caught up in other things (especially downloading freebies) that I don't have time to do a LO. For instance my Saturday was insane. First, it started snowing on Friday night and was not supposed to stop until Saturday afternoon. So my first stop was the LifeTime Fitness Club where I took the 8:15 a.m. Pilates Class, then used the treadmill for an hour, came home and took a shower and by that time it was 11:15. I headed up to the food pantry to make a donation of pet food and what should have been a 10 minute trip turned into 30 minutes. Finished up there and was home by 12:30. Dried my hair quickly, threw on some make-up and took my daughter to a doctor's appt she had at 1:00 p.m. Home again by 2:15. Ate lunch quickly, then we were off again to Crystal Lake for a math tutoring session. I don't know what it is but I do not remember Trigonometry as being so hard when I was in HS. Now I don't even know sine from cosine. This tutor is brilliant, she is an EE and tutors kids on ACT exams etc... We left there at 4:15 and then it was home where my son was waiting to go to the library. Instead I took my daughter over to Target as they had a sale on the furniture she wanted and like Murphy's law, they had to get it from the back room. Now it was 5:15 and my husband and I were supposed to be meeting friends for dinner in Schaumburg, 40 minutes away. Well I blew it! By the time we got the furniture and picked up my kids' take out from "On the Border" I wasn't home until 5:40. My husband let me have it....but we did make it to Lalo's by 6:25. Then home by 10:00. Then I did my feebies search and off to bed. Anyway this is why I ended up working on our team LO all day Sunday. Since it was a collaboration, I would send it to my sister in California for changes/suggestions and she would send it back, etc... We did get it in before the deadline which was 11:00 p.m. Central Time. Then my daughter asked me to read her English paper....but that's another story....
